My husband came home with a pounding headache but decided to make a few phone calls. I persoannally thing that it's from getting only 3-5 hours of sleep every day this week in combination of a lot of stress.
He fell asleep on the couch. I thought it was a bad idea, since that's where the kids mostly play. But it seems that it worked. When he got up, he was still extremely tired but decided to watch a movie with the kids. I took advantage of that and took a nap myself.
My two daughters were playing and one accidently poked the other one in the eye and scratched the cornea. I put a gauzed dipped in tea on her eye and had to rock her for the bulk of the day to keep her from rubbing it. After a while she fell asleep.
Later, I put a clean dry gauze on it and she didn't seem to be having any more problems with it. But I was worried that she would try to rub it anyway. So I kept the gauze on until bathtime, in which I took it off. There wasn't any more swelling. So I kept it off and figure I would put one on again after her bath so she wouldn't rub it and then take it off before bedtime.
I was momentarily distracted by the other kids and had to leave the bathroom. A few minutes passed and the movie my husband was watching with the other two had ended. I asked him if he would check on the one in the bathtub.
She wasn't in the bathtub anymore, but on the floor, wraped in a towel, in front of the heater, fast asleep.
We took a picture (which I will eventually put onto Flickr), and then I got her blanket and brought her up to her bed. She went back to sleep without any protest.
As a result of the day's events, not as much got done as I wanted. Although I did manage to clean most of the balcony and empty most of the pots into the barrel. There are two very large pots that I don't think I will be able to empty anytime soon. I will tip them after this weekend of rain so that there isn't any more water in the resevoir, so if I don't get a chance to empty them before it freezes, I won't have to worry about the ice cracking the pots. All I have to do is tip them to the side.
My kitchen is as probably as clean as it will get with all of the range hood stuff in the way. My husband did move them aside for me so that they aren't really in the way. I guess Monday will be the day that we will get all this stuff done... I hope.
I plan on re-organizing the upstairs Monday. I (along with the kids) will start by cleaning the kid's room. SOMEBODY, had decided to peel all of the crayons and throw the paper onto the floor.
I have my work cut out for me...
