I decided to move my blog to my own server. Why? Well, it's mostly for convenience and some for experimentation (after all, that's what my personal website is for).
Of course, since I'm moving to a new location, might as well give it a new look and a new name. I now present to you "This Boring Life". Named so because I don't expect to much drama or craziness that seems to drive ratings and clicks these days. Hopefully, it won't really be boring to those who prefer not to waste a few IQ points on mindnumbing "reality" posts and videos.
Yes, I said "videos". Starting Tuesday, I'm hoping to be able to post some "boring" family videos as well. Drama free, and hopefully a little more edifying than "Buckwild", "Nutcracking" videos, and schoolyard fights. Fights that usually don't even happen in schoolyards between children.
The site, at the moment, is still lacking in some design features. Hopefully, now that I'm not babysitting for at least the next few days, I'll be able to finish it.
Now I present to you, my new home: nancieswebonline.com/blog
This is a blog of a happily married, stay-at-home mom of five kids. Expect mostly everything here.

Twitter Hacked?
I was too sick to get anything done (including recording videos), so when I was coherent I decided to use my laptop. Yes, the "media fast" is over early, and I have nothing to show for it. Not even a second of a video. Bummer,
But that's not why I'm writing this. It turns out that Twitter was hacked yesterday. As soon as I found out, I went to my account to change the password (my first instinct). Then I came across the company blog. Supposedly, the user accounts weren't hacked. Really? You expect us to believe that?
Okay, maybe it's true. But I'm not taking any chances. My Twitter account will have a new password, anyway.
Anyway, according to the news, the hacker just guess correctly on an employees account, where he use the email to get all of the security passwords by guessing the right answer to the "security" question, then use those to get all of the confidential documents.
I saw this coming from a "mile away" and answered all of my security questions wrong. At least wrong enough that none of the info that I spew out on my blogs or other social accounts can be used as an answer, but correct enough for me (using my logic) to remember them.
As for passwords, I won't exactly tell you how I come up with one, but it does involve the site name and many different bits of info from my entire life. So far, even though I had been threatened with hacks - no one has hacked any of my accounts. Note to hackers, I don't mean it to be a challenge. We all know you are so good at what you do and you do benefit the society as a whole (please don't hack me).
My longest password is more than 20 characters and I have a lot of accounts. So barring a "back door" attack, I hope that I'm secure enough... Speaking of which, I'm better change my twitter password.

Upcoming Media Fast
Tomorrow (Monday), for five days, I will not be online. There are a lot of projects to get done and I thought it would be a good idea to enlist the family. Not only that, it's a good way to teach the kids that there are more to life than computers, TV, and Video games.
Another benefit will be that I can't use Facebook, or Twitter as an excuse to stay up late. I would certainly be going to bed earlier. It will definitely be a good time to reset my internal clock. Go to bed earlier, get up earlier.
There are two exceptions. 1. I'll be using my camera to record the week and 2. I'll let the two youngest watch some DVDs on rainy days. Perhaps I'll finally be posting real video blogs, although I do plan on finishing the "Meet the family series" first.
I do have some interesting plans that I do not want to reveal yet. It's a surprise!

Okay, so no video this time
I came up with a better idea at the last minute. I will eventually post a video, but I plan on updating my website first. It's kind of outdated.
Perhaps, eventually, I'll post a video, but for now, blogging is easier. Perhaps, it's not as flashy as a video, but it will have to do.
I did go to Curves today, like I've been doing for about a month-and-a-half. For those who don't know what "Curves" is, congrats on coming out of your cave and joining us in the Civilized world. Curves is a woman's gym pioneering in circuit training.
I have decided to start going three days a week since May. About the second week of May, I started walking three times a day, although I've been doing it mostly for Benjamin to calm him down.
It's not like I can forget to walk. If he wants to walk, he will bring my shoes to me. If I put off going for a walk around 30 seconds or so, then he gets pretty angry. And no one like it when he gets angry.
Now it's time to do something else to get healthy. I've already have been avoiding processed foods and the last time I had any fast food, it was when we went to the new Taco Bell in Rutland about 6 months ago. I felt so miserable (I'm no longer immune from the chemical laden food, I suppose) that I have vowed not to step foot inside a fast food joint again, or even roll a wheel into their drive thru - well, except for McDonald's coffee. It's organic. I'll just not have cream in it. It's some thick white liquid posing as cream.
I have had this book on metabolic typing and a book from Dr Mercola. I have taken the tests in these books, and found that I was a protien type. I'll have to get more into detail with that in another post.
It's late, and I need sleep...
Aha! I figured out my next step. Going to bed earlier. This is a tough one. I'll have to start tomorrow... It's already too late tonight.

Not again! Dead Power Supply. New blog home?
The family computer died - again
It's not my fault, I swear! I wasn't even near the computer this time. It just shut off. One minute I was blogging on my new Yuwie account and the next minute, as I greeted my husband as he came home from work, it quit.
Speaking of Yuwie, I think have found my new home.
No offense to blogger, it's a pretty decent blogging site, but I do need to make money to buy myself a laptop - somehow. And if I were to get paid to do what you can do on Myspace for a free sign-up, why not. And if I don't make money, then it was free anyway and I'm doing what I like to do.
I don't know if I will continue to blog here. I may anyway, since I have a plugin for Mozilla that allows me to blog on a whim instead of having to sign on to blogger everytime.
If you sign up, I'll your first friend. Although I would have to warn you though, you will be bombarded with friend requests.

Note: Even if I choose not to have blogger as my blogging home anymore, I still may post on occasion to let you know what is going on.

Mutant Cold Virus and a dead computer
For more than a week now, I've had this awful cold. It's not so bad now. I seem to be getting over it. It didn't help that I came across an article about the mutant cold virus. If that's what I had, I can understand why it would kill someone with a weak immune system.
Anyway, my laptop finally died Friday. So now I don't have a laptop. This means I have to share my computer with my husband and I won't be able to quickly look up something that I've seen somewhere.
Not to mention that if I have an idea for a flash design a modification to my website, I can't act on it immediately. I have to write a list.
I was supposed to redesign my whole website too, including this blog. Expect changes to take place soon, though. I just don't know when yet.
