Getting to bed on time

For some reason, my son will not go to bed on time.  I've tried everything that I could think of.  Tomorrow, it will be the second day of no computer.  He loves the computer, but he STILL stays up too late.

I've already banned him from having friends tomorrow (after all, he'll be too tired to play with them anyway).  If he doesn't go to sleep on time tomorrow night, there's nothing left to take away.

Now before anyone says "He might not need the sleep": consider this...  He's been complaining of a light headache and nausea.  This has only been happening when he goes to bed too late.  Last night he went to bed on time - no problems - that is, until tonight, after 9:00pm, he started to have the same symptoms.

I guess I'll have to get use to the fact that he will be bored for a few days.  I'm hoping he will learn from this and stop being so stubborn.

Okay, so no video this time

I came up with a better idea at the last minute.  I will eventually post a video, but I plan on updating my website first.  It's kind of outdated.

Perhaps, eventually, I'll post a video, but for now, blogging is easier.  Perhaps, it's not as flashy as a video, but it will have to do.

I did go to Curves today, like I've been doing for about a month-and-a-half.  For those who don't know what "Curves" is, congrats on coming out of your cave and joining us in the Civilized world.  Curves is a woman's gym pioneering in circuit training.

I have decided to start going three days a week since May.  About the second week of May, I started walking three times a day, although I've been doing it mostly for Benjamin to calm him down.

It's not like I can forget to walk.  If he wants to walk, he will bring my shoes to me.  If I put off going for a walk around 30 seconds or so, then he gets pretty angry.  And no one like it when he gets angry.

Now it's time to do something else to get healthy.  I've already have been avoiding processed foods and the last time I had any fast food, it was when we went to the new Taco Bell in Rutland about 6 months ago.  I felt so miserable (I'm no longer immune from the chemical laden food, I suppose) that I have vowed not to step foot inside a fast food joint again, or even roll a wheel into their drive thru - well, except for McDonald's coffee.  It's organic.  I'll just not have cream in it.  It's some thick white liquid posing as cream.

I have had this book on metabolic typing and a book from Dr Mercola.  I have taken the tests in these books, and found that I was a protien type.  I'll have to get more into detail with that in another post.

It's late, and I need sleep...

Aha!  I figured out my next step.  Going to bed earlier.  This is a tough one.  I'll have to start tomorrow...  It's already too late tonight.

Weirdness in Dreamland - Prodigal Sibling

Okay, so I had a really weird dream last night. My sister who never talks to our family was in it. Why? I don't know. I guess I have been thinking of her lately.

Anyway, we were in a classroom but it was filled with people of all ages. She was in her group of friends when a "hater" showed up and started to call her names (none seriously vile but abusive nonetheless). She pretty much ignored it, putting in a feigned yawn once in a while. I was gnawing on a loose fingernail and rolled my eyes at her (about the hater).

After hearing the same thing being called out I finally turned to him and said, "Can't you come up with something creative for once?" It was the first time I saw the kids. And yes, they were pretty young, like 12 or 13. They picked up their books and left laughing with each other.

The next think I know, I was standing in front of my sister. She was trying to talk to a friend that was standing next to her, but then decided to try to call out to a friend that was standing on the other side of the room, behind me. She kind of pushed me out of the way. It looked like she wanted to say something to me, like "excuse me", but didn't. Wanted, but couldn't.

I really wished I knew what was going on with her. I have a few suspicions, but I can't 100% verify. Even if she didn't want to say what's really going on in her life, a superficial comment on my Myspace profile or blog or website would be nice. I even have a contact page. She doesn't even have to know my email address.

*sigh*

Mom is seriously having a hard time over it. She said she would purposely go against her parents beliefs and when she moved out, she still kept in contact. Even though her parents thought she was going to hell.

My father doesn't understand it either. He said he would call his parents up for a weekly yelling and there's nothing that she could have done to make them hate her.

I don't get it either. Believe me, I know more than I let on. If it just had to do with a certain vehicle, it isn't a problem. Debt forgiven. If it was something else, I know more of that too. Long story, I won't get into details here but there was a lot of miscommunication and mistakes made.

*sigh* - again

Well, that's enough of my rant. I tried contacting her a couple of times through her Myspace page, but no answer. And no, I'm not giving that link out. I don't need to drive her away more. Although I am curious on how many people have gone through the same thing.

Spam bot Test.

Looks like I'm going to have to change my comments to moderate. Stupid spammers. What worse, someone just posted gibberish, taking parts of my blog and adding random words to it.

My guess it that someone is testing a spam bot. The owners of Blogger (a.k.a. Google) beware!
