Antibiotics

I started my antibiotics today. The only two other times that I had taken antibiotics, I was miserable. The first time, I had strep throat and mono. I ended up having an alergic reaction and had to stop taking it.

The second time my stomach REALLY didn't like the antibiotics and there were only a few things I could eat. The doctor didn't think that was significant, so I continued taking them. I figured that it was only a few days, so I'll live, even though a severe yeast infection compounded my misery.

The next time I had a bladder infection, I didn't take anything for it. I just slept and drank a ton of water and cranberry juice. I was over it in the same amount of time that I had to take antibiotics.

Unfortunately, I wasn't as lucky this time. The midwife explained that the hormone that relaxes everything in my body has caused my "plumbing" to kink, making it difficult to flush out.

The other difference is that I have had no symptoms. No fever, burning, or the need to go to the bathroom constantly. Of course, having to go every 30 minutes or so is normal for a pregnant woman who drinks a ton of water.

It's time to start getting ready for the weekend - until next time.
