Tomorrow is the start of the last few days of November. We have a dry erase calendar and I had already erased the month of November and replaced it with the month of December. In the empty squares preceding the first of December, I put the last days of November, so that I can still write what I need to do in those last days.
I cannot believe how fast this year has gone already. The end of next month is Christmas already. So I went online to purchase gift bags in larger quantities so that I don't have to spend so much on bags this year.
I plan on making Christmas gifts this year - like cookies and the like. I'm trying my best to boycott the madness that has been going on during Christmas shopping. We, as a nation, have lowered ourselves to stampeding the store on "black friday", only to fight over items that we would probably be better without.
I'm glad that I didn't go out on Friday. My sister did with her husband to breakfast and she heard all kinds of fights going on at Wal-mart.
This Thursday, I have to go to the midwife again. I'll probably have to do some shopping for supplies for the birth of the baby. I HATE shopping at this time of year. So many people are so absorbed in the commercialism of Christmas, that they seem to have forgotten their senses. This includes common sense and courtesy when driving.
*sigh*
Thank God for the internet. I think I'm even going to purchase most of my groceries online until after January.
