This is a blog of a happily married, stay-at-home mom of five kids. Expect mostly everything here.

Modblog is still down!

It's nothing new, really. I'm typically a patient person, but this is ridiculous. I've pretty much given up.

It's too bad. Modblog had a lot of potential.

In other news... My house actually isn't as trashed as it usually is. I actually had some energy to accomplish some things - and my sister seems to have energy for the rest of the family.

She cleaned out my washroom - the room time forgot.

Typically, I don't let it get that bad, but I have been barely keeping up with the rest of the house, it kind of got pushed into the back burner - or rather, stuff got pushed into it.

It's like 64 degrees outside and very windy. I would thought that by now, it would have cooled off some since it has been windy since this afternoon.

I actually had the heat turned off and had both doors open to air out the house. We typically keep the house at 65 degrees so it wasn't that much colder to open the doors. If it is this warm this close to December, chances are that January won't be that cold. At least not like last year. I'll be happy not to have any day that is 10 below Zero (Fahrenheit). This would also mean that we won't spend as much on fuel... Well, considering the prices, perhaps we will spend the same amount of money on fuel as we did last year, but not use as much. I'll be happy with that.

I dug in my book collection and found my 1001 ways to save money. It was published in the 90's but most of the tips are relevant today. Such as walking more than using the car, not trading in your car every 3 years, etc, etc.

More news: I'm adding a new page to my website. It will be called recommended reading. All of the books on this page are books that I refer to again and again. The front page will have a "book of the week", where I post a book that I think everyone will benifit from.

See that book now...

I plan on making some major changes to my website - again... So be sure to check it out once in a while!
