The downstairs is done... Well, there still 3 boxes left to go into storage. They are all yard sale items, so I probably will sort them into priced boxes for next spring.
My sister arrived this morning. I was kind of expecting her to show up a little later. That's okay. The house wasn't in terrible disarray.
The kids slept late - and I was quite tired because I ended up sleeping late as well. I was agitated that the older two woke up the youngest until I checked my watch. So I didn't get angry. We were all supposed to be up by now anyway.
Yesterday, we were exceptionally busy. Last night I was too exhausted to blog, so I just listen to an audiobook instead.
My husband showed up yesterday morning two hours-and-a-half later. I was only a little worried, since I figured that he was just working late. He showed up with a brand new faucet (to replace the leaky one), a range hood (to keep the fire alarm from going off when something in the oven drips to the bottom and burns), a under-the-sink water filter (which is because the new faucet couldn't adapt to the PuR filter that we currently use) and a new sump pump for the basement.
I jokingly remarked, "Went on a shopping spree, huh?"
We both didn't want to spend the money on these things - if to spend money at all. But the leaky faucet couldn't have been tightened anymore, and the water filter was to keep out the mercury and lead (among other chemicals) that while under the EPA standards, it's only an average. So one day the lead and mercury levels are completely safe, the next it could be outrageously high. This all depends on rainfall, pretty much.
I am tired and I might actually be able to fall asleep early tonight. That is, if I go to bed now (gee, how many times have I said something similar in this blog).
