Amazon.com affiliate

In a futile attempt to recover some lost funds on my website, I decided to try Amazon.com affiliation program. While I don't plan on putting any referal links here, since blogspot is free, I may refer to my site for a weekly recommended book.

Next week, I'll have a recommended reading page of books that I had recommended in the past and maybe a few extras that I couldn't wait another week to showcase.

I did make a few attempts at selling things on Cafepress.com as well, but I guess I need more traffic for that to have any benifit.

Not to say that it won't be tempting to put some of the items here...

Soooo tempting...

I know that some blogs have so much advertising it looks pretty cheap. It's kind of like swearing. The more you hear it, the more you tune it out. Some think it cheapens the blog. Perhaps, I should just have a "visit my shop" link.

Well, I redesigning the website, which is why I'm considering these things.

and no... I'm not going to use Google ad sense. There's just not enough control... Must control what I sell...

I guess I'm a control freak. With Amazon.com, at least I can pick the books that I can sell. Google Adsense picks what is related to my latest blog. So if I rant about the way schools teach about sex, does that mean I will have sex ads?

Maybe I'll try google adsense just to see, but not on this blog. I'll stick to my amazon.com affilation and my "shopping page".
