Theft - Well, not really

My husband came home and told me what happened while he was at work. Apparently, the guard had been trying to get a hold of him for a little while to let him know that there had been someone trying to break in the vehicles in the parking lot and one of them is his.

Of course, this worried my husband, after all he had a $500 air compressor, $500 Dewalt gun, another few hundred dollars of miscellaneous roofing tools, and a $150 mp3 player.

When he got there, he found that the would-be thief had tried to steal the $100 Wal-Mart special stereo, unplugging the really tiny, pocketable, more expensive mp3 player before doing so.

They didn't even succeed taking the stereo either. My husband had installed a security strap so the radio would not come out. It took hours to bolt the strap on and it would take hours before taking it off.

Heh, the funny thing is, my husband wasn't upset about the break in, after all, nothing was stolen. He was upset that he would have to spend another hour or so trying to straighten the radio out, since the thief had tried to pull on it and ended up just leaving it crooked.

HAHA! Not very smart thief, there! It was probably some 12-year-olds!

I guess they could drive. The guard thought it was me since we own a van very similar to the one driving around the parking lot.

But that's the pretty much our crime rate. Petty theft for useless items.

We have a lot of good people here but the "low-lifes" are really dumb. But I guess if they were smart, they wouldn't be subject to stealing anything. :)
