Have you ever noticed that there always seems to be an on going theme in certain times in your life? The past few weeks, it seems that people are talking more about fast food and processed food and every single time I have the same reaction: ACK!
Here's on particular blog entry that I came across and commented on:

I started to comment but realized the length of my comment was long enough to be an entry in itself.
Personally, I find junk food substandard. Of course, *I* can cook. I grew up on homemade brownies, chocolate chip cookies, homemade pancakes (not from boxed mixes), and home cooked meals.
In comparison to *my* pancakes, McDonald's has the consistency of spongy cotton and taste like it too. I wouldn't even justify their syrup as to say it's maple flavored. t's flavored alright, but it's NOT maple. I know what maple tastes like. Fortunately, I get my maple syrup from my parents for free :)
To be quite honest with you, not too many restaurants impress me anymore. There's one in Rutland that I absolutely love and they have REAL pizza. Not the soggy cardboard topped with a thin layer of (tomato?) sauce and greasy cheese flavored petroleum byproducts. I'm not even going to guess what's in what they would dare to call "pepperoni".
Don't get me started on the boxed desserts...
I'm still suffering from the huge sugar crash I got from something that Hannaford DARED to call raspberry "mousse" torte. I know what mousse is and
That.
was.
NOT!
Mousse!
Blech!
