The big trip to Illinois is looming over the horizon.
Does that sound depressing? Sometimes it can be. While I'll be glad to give up standard housework, starting tomorrow, it will be the most 12 hectic days of the year. I honestly don't think Christmas is as bad - but then again, I don't share the same philosophy as many others on that holiday - but I digress.
After the 12 most hectic days of the year, comes the what seems to be the longest 17 hours of my life. 17 hours trapped in a tin can on wheels with four kids.
It isn't so bad as the trip back. Then, because of all the excitement of the vacation, the kids will be overtired. Then it's another 17 hours trapped in a tin can on wheels with four CRANKY kids.
I'm going to need a vacation from vacation.
