This is a blog of a happily married, stay-at-home mom of five kids. Expect mostly everything here.

A Cleaner Kitchen - almost

It's been a couple of days since I have been able to blog. Monday, I got into a discussion on my modblog so I didn't have time to blog here. He responded to my response, but I haven't had the time to read it yet.

I might read it and leave it, because I'm sure I'll have another elaborate response that I must respond with. Of course, if I give in to that temptation, I won't be in bed until 1:00am. Bad idea, since being pregnant with 3 kids will wear me out too much. As I near the end of my pregnancy, I will have to make sure that I'm in "peak" condition for the birth. That would include as much rest as possible.

I've also been working a few minutes here and there on my home site and that has been slow in progress. Mostly because I only spend 10 minutes here, 20 minutes there... I think you know what mean. If I could get a few uninterrupted hours, I would have a site to top all sites. For now, it's mediocre.

Tomorrow, we get to go to Rutland - again. It seems that when I think I have everything I need, I find out that I had forgotten something. Figures. So tomorrow, I'm going to make sure that I don't forget anything. I'm also going to make sure that we drop the kids early enough so that we have plenty of time to shop.

It seems we always leave too late and we get home just in time to pick up the kids. No spare time to actually do anything else. If we leave early enough, we should be able to have at least an hour of not driving around or chasing kids.

Anyway (seeing that what I had typed has nothing to do with the title so far), my husband finally was able to to get my range hood up. He had put a melamine backing to the stove, because we both knew that repainting it was useless. The old paint was peeling from the wall as a result from the steam and heat from the stove. We figured that it would chip and peel within a year of application if we were to paint it.

As a result of the melamine and the range hood, the kitchen looks much better. It's so amazining what a few repairs could do to an entire room.

Just wait until we paint the cabinets. What a difference that will make...
